This one was FUN to make!
From the moment I started putting this video together, the track took me in a lot of different creative directions. I started with a few ideas, kept building on them, and before I knew it everything started falling right into place.
“Just Another One From My Past” has that feel-good, grown-folks groove, but underneath it there’s still a story about relationships, memories, heartbreak and eventually moving forward.
That’s what I wanted the video to feel like.
Some of the people you see throughout this video are people who have actually crossed paths with me during different chapters of my own journey. I enjoyed putting them in it because they became part of the visual story. No disrespect, no bitterness—just memories, good times and moments from the past mixed into the creativity of the video.
The dancing, the women, the relationships, the nightlife, the heartbreak, the money, the fun—it all moves with the music. By the time I finished editing, I felt like the video had taken on a life of its own.
I really enjoyed creating this one, and I hope everybody has just as much fun watching it as I had putting it together.
