“I’m Bound for Mount Zion” – Bishop Dennis V. Lyons | A Faderz Up Productions Tribute
This video is dedicated to Bishop Dennis V. Lyons and the life of service, faith, leadership, and community work he has given to Louisville and beyond.
Bishop, I wanted to give you your flowers while you are still here to receive them. Thank you for believing in me, bringing me into the radio world, welcoming me into the church, encouraging my work, and helping me move to another level in entertainment and ministry media.
Through Talk at Night on WLLV 101.9 FM, Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, The Bishop’s Table, the Bishop Transportation Bus, feeding the homeless, fighting violence and drugs, and bringing pastors, police officers, community leaders, elected officials, and everyday people together, Bishop Lyons has continued serving despite criticism, opposition, and people trying to tear him down.
This tribute also honors everyone who has stood beside Bishop throughout the years—from Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, King Solomon Baptist Church, Pastor Charles Elliott, fellow pastors, church members, radio personalities, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters who continue believing in the mission.
To Will Smith and everyone whose life has been touched through Talk at Night and WLLV, this is part of our story too.
